Peek a boo gone wrong

Caroline and Owen like to play peek a boo by pulling up their shirts over their faces. Owen has recently learned if he pulls it up too much it just may go over his head. Owen and Caroline find it hilarious. It reminds me of Florida rednecks.

Melissa is north of town and I am hoping to see her tomorrow night, however I may be crying. They are taking down the garage tomorrow afternoon. The guy also wants to have his demo guy pull up a tree that is on the property line. Apparently it is in the way of the garage he wants to build. He will have to trim so much that the tree will die, according to his demo guy. Being on the property line there is quite a bit of growth on our side and will eliminate shade on the back corner of the yard which includes the sandbox and playset. I am so mad. Also, since when did demo guys become experts on tree growth and how in the world is a demo guy going to take out the tree without either leaving all the roots or pulling them up - thus further destroying my yard being as this is a mature beautiful tree? Oh, and the pole that sits on the property line is not going to be able to come out for 3-4 weeks now. After talking to Duke power the first time he said he will be able to get it all out at once. Now, somehow it is taking an additional 4 times as long (minimum). He is either incompetent or lying, either way I cannot stand him and we are only two weeks in.

So, maybe we will keep a tally. So far two weeks in, this guy building his dream home (which is really ugly) is costing me several thousand and a month of no fence in the backyard (which means much more difficult to play with the kids and having to walk Beta several times a day with the kids here).
