Thought I would add a couple pictures (Matt did not know he had the ribbon on his head). Pretty boring day. Owen figured out how to get over the not properly installed baby gate at the bottom of the stairs. Pretty much sucks. Due to the layout of the stairs and banister pretty impossible to put anything in properly. (Old house, did not have an upstairs and then just decided to basically add the stairs and a couple bedrooms, bathroom upstairs - other people not us!- also decided to do the stairs to code so they go a couple into the living room without the wall there. hard to explain, but if you come visit you can check it out! see below) So, anyways, now Owen has full run of the house, but is still not very good at stairs. This makes for a very scary and difficult situation. Cannot get anything done because going upstairs is his favorite thing to do. Luckily, had a sitter come today for a few hours so I could get my hair done. Good break to try to think of a solution - or just find out the latest on my hairdressers dating life.
So, about coming to Charlotte, saw a little posting about the writing seminar. Would love love love everyone to come and stay with us for it, BUT we are going out of town and not coming back to late that Saturday morning or early afternoon.... Would REALLY stink if my FRIENDS came to town and did not even come and see me. Do what you gotta do, but my birthday is the end of this month (Memorial day weekend) and we should be in town pretty much the whole rest of the summer if anyone wanted to visit when we are here for longer.
Anyways, not much else going on. Tired and need to wrap a birthday present for one of Caroline's friends. Hoping Owen is just teething and his runny nose will be better. He is a little cranky and has a super runny nose. Hoping he will make it to school tomorrow - only six more days after tomorrow!

No you don't sound bitchy at all! I was actually going to rope another friend of mine in the area into letting me crash on her couch - I know how difficult just the daily grind of kids and stuff can be, so interrupting the daily pattern with aunt molly visiting might be more than you care to sign up for! She does them all times of the year though, in Atlanta and in Charlotte. Keep your eyes peeled. Also, I'm going to be south (don't know where yet) for Beth Harben's 30th in the second week in August. She's a little iffy on the where and when but I'll be sure and schedule you in!
And your kids ARE that cute, I think the using their power for good rather than bad is what makes them that cute :)
