From over the weekend...

At the pool Saturday morning when Caroline just wanted to cling to us, no jumping in, head under water, anything...

Me: What will you do when you are a mommy and your kids want to go swimming?
Caroline (not pausing for a second): Jake is probably a really good swimmer.
(we have not seen or discussed the boy in at least two weeks)

Sunday night eating dinner Caroline is complaining about having to do something...
Matt: But you don't have to do anything except play and have fun all summer, no work, no school, anything.
Caroline: You have to work to pay for everything.
Matt: Well don't complain about it then.
Caroline: Yes, I will complain about it.
Caroline: Daddy, you have asparagus on your nose. (not sure how it got there, but he did)

Owen is still cute as can be and Hayden just had a Marley moment when he somehow opened the pantry, pulled out the bottom shelf and ate half a nearly full box of cereal (Mighty Bites for those concerned).
