That is what I am looking out at right now. It is much better then watching Caroline run tight little circles around a chair in the family room. That makes me dizzy.
Just finished reading every one's blogs and had to laugh at how everyone wrote on something (or a combination of events) from today. Caroline had school so it was an Owen and Mommy morning. These happen to be some of my favorite days now. We ran to Traders Joe's and then came home for a little while. Ran back out to run a couple errands and get lunch together. We decided to stop at a new place (Blu Basil) which is an order and then sit down type place. Perfect, except Owen decided he wanted to sit at all the tables around the line (which was quite long and the place was pretty crowded). Got him out of the first chair and table by explaining someone was already sitting there (tea and the number on the table gave it away, but think the person was in the bathroom). Then he ran to the next table and sat down. This time not so easy. As I was trying to pull him away without knocking over the chair (which was pretty lightweight and thus not so easy) a friend walked by on her way to get a drink. A friend with children in Caroline and Owen's classes. Said hi and she asked if Owen would want to go sit with them. He pops right up and grabs her hand. Walks with her to get a drink and then to the complete opposite side of the place without stopping. Nice.
So after waiting close to ten minutes to order (the couple in front of me asked about a dozen questions on what to order and the girl could not find cups or figure out how to do a gift card) go to join the girl and kids. She was with another girl who has two little ones in Caroline and Owen's class. So, the three moms and three little ones are all waiting on food which arrives very slowly. Eventually everyone has food in front of them, but the three little ones are much more interested in what the other little ones have. They are all pointing and handing each other food the entire time. It was the first time in awhile that Owen had no interest in my plate. It also made me wonder how their teachers do it at school with everyone wanting and giving each other part of their lunch. It was a nice surprise to get to see some friends. Owen seemed to have a great time and we got to talk about the hot ob (many of you have heard me talk about him).
Probably need to go wake Owen up or he will never go to sleep and spend all night looking out his window. Last night every time I went up he was standing in between the window and blinds one foot on the bed one foot on the window sill.
