The Farmer and the Dell

I try not to correct the kids when they are singing songs. It is super cute to hear what they think the words are. But last night after dinner Caroline was running around singing Farmer and the Dell and I had to intervene. "high ho the hairy ho, the farmer and the dell." Of course I could not remember if it is "dairy o" or "merry o", but felt fairly confident even with the previous h's "hairy ho" was not correct. I went with "dairy o", at a minimum it is an improvement.
